Q: How much does iControl WebStudio cost?
A: iControl is a licensed product, and pricing depends on which package you choose.   

Q: Are there any additional maintenance fees?
A: No.

Q: What do I get for the set-up fee?
A: We configure the server settings and your site with a customized design, your logo, your domain, POP 3 email accounts, formatting, stylesheet and module configuration.  This also includes training to get you started publishing content immediately. 

Q: How much is hosting?
A: Hosting accounts range in price, based on your monthly usage.  Check out our Hosting Details for more information.  Dedicated server environments are also available, if needed—for an additional fee. 

Q: Why do I need iControl?
A: iControl allows you to effortlessly develop and manage attractive and functional websites, Intranets and portals while letting any authorized individual quickly and easily update content on a regular basis. iControl streamlines your Web operations by establishing a manageable, cost-effective operating structure. Besides saving you money, iControl allows better collaboration and coordination between employees, partners and customers. If having a prominent Internet presence is important to you, then iControl is the foundation you need.

Q: Will iControl let me add or edit content?
A: Yes. iControl gives you total control to grant anyone authorization to work with the content on your site. You can give someone full access to all areas, or restrict that person’s access to certain areas only. Access is password protected via your Internet Explorer® Browser.

Q: Is any programming knowledge required to use iControl?
A: No, never, absolutely not. iControl is designed for individuals who do not have prior programming experience. Each function is simple to use with easy-to-follow directions. Many functions are similar to functions in other programs such as cut and paste, copy, etc.  We also provide ongoing training, support and best practices to help you as your business online grows.

Q: I'm not a technical person. What if I need help?
A: iControl is a fully documented product with help screens located throughout the control panel.  We also have a client-only portal of information, extended product FAQs, automated support and bug tracking software and a comprehensive KnowledgeBase. 

• As part of your License Fee, you can learn about new features, tips and tricks by attending one of our periodic training calls.
• Additionally, you can utilize ILGM's FREE Support System at our client website at: http://support.ilgm.com, or Paid Phone Support at: 719-573-0084 M-F 9am-4pm MST. 

Q: What are the system requirements for using iControl WebStudio?
A: You need:

• A PC running Microsoft Windows 98, NT or 2000
• Microsoft Internet Explorer®  version 5.5, or later.
• An Internet connection (modem, cable or other) capable of a minimum speed of 28.8 kbps. (broadband is reccomended)
• A monitor resolution of at least 800x600 (1024x768 recommended)

Q: Do I have to host with ILGM, or can I use my own hosting company?
A: Yes.  Well…for now anyway.  iControl requires a highly sophisticated network, database and security configuration.  However, we are aggressively working with other hosting companies to provide our services to their clients and extend our offering to traditional hosting firms and ISPs. 

Q: Can I upload photos to my site?
A: Of course.  iControl allows you the ability to upload photos the same way you would if you were uploading them to your PC.

Q: Can I create "links" within my site and link to other sites?
A: Yes you can.  Believe it or not, we've actually seen development companies that charge extra for this.  Hyperlinking using iControl is easy and we encourage you to use as many links as you like.

Q: What is WYSIWYG?
A: WYSIWYG is an acronym that stands for What You See Is What You Get.  Very much like Microsoft® WORD, iControl utilizes a robust online word processer as your interface to make updates to your site.  You do NOT need any technical skills to publish web content using WYSIWYG technology. 

Q: I would like to send out a monthly newsletter, can I do this with iControl?
A: Yes you can.  In fact, iControl will automatically start collecting email addresses for you as soon as you "go live." 

Q: I already have a client list, can it be used in iControl?
A: Absolutely, our email marketing module has an import feature that will quicly load any .txt or .csv file from your PC.

Q: Can I sell products with iControl?
A: Yes! By adding iControl ShopStudio SE, or Professional, you have the ability to create your own customized catalog, storefront, add shopping cart capability.

Q: What do I need to do to accept credit cards on my site?
A: In order to accept credit cards on your site, you will need a Credit Card Processing account from Authorize.Net, and a merchant account from your bank.  We also require you to have an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate if you plan on taking credit cards online.  SSL Certificates may be purchased and installed from us at a discounted rate.

Q: I already have a site and don't need iControl, will ILGM host it for me?
A: To ensure our clients of the most efficient and secure operating platform, we do not host sites that are not utilizing the iControl platform.

Q: How long does it take to build a site?
A: That depends on how comprehensive you would like your online business to be and how much time you devote to creating it. iControl WebStudio automates the time-consuming technical aspects of creating an online presence, but you will still need to add content, graphics, functionality and most importantly, your personality.

• You can build a very basic site in less than an hour! A more comprehensive, content-heavy site can take longer. Making updates to your site happens as frequently (or infrequently) as you would like. Much like your "brick and mortar" business, the success of your online business is a direct result of your efforts and time.

Q: Who makes changes to my site?
A: You do, which means you have complete control over your online business.  iControl’s easy to use Control Panel is where you will add, edit and delete pages on your site. You have password protected access to the Control Panel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All changes you make in iControl are “live” and appear immediately, once you click “publish.”

Q: No matter how easy it is, I don't have time to create my site. Can ILGM just do it for me?
A: Yes! ILGM offers can and will do this for you at our posted hourly rate.

Q: Can I have files for my visitors to download on my site (Audio or Video, PDF's, etc.)?
A: Absolutely. iControl comes with a fully-functional File Manager that allows you to manage folders and files like you would on your PC.  One-click hyperlinking makes these files available to the world.

Q: What happens if I use more than the allotted data storage and bandwidth?
A: Your data storage and bandwidth is monitored monthly and additional storage may be purchased by adding a Resource Booster to your service plan.  If you need quite a bit more than that, we have additional hosting plans up to and including a completely dedicated managed environment. 

Q: Can I use my own domain name (or the domain I am planning to get soon)?
A: Yes. We wouldn’t have it any other way…it’s your business isn’t it?  We reccomend that you manage your own domain name and just point it to us

Q: Can I get an email account via iControl?
A: Absolutely, and we don’t charge extra for it.  In fact, you can have multiple unique email addresses, unlimited aliases, forwarding, and auto-responders.  You will also have access to your email (like HotMail) via the Web. 

Q: How will I get people to come to my site?
A: iControl helps you attract first-time visitors and encourages repeat visits.  iControl allows you to optimize your pages with unique titles, descriptions and keywords at the page level.  iControl also dynamically builds a site map that is “search engine-friendly.”  Over time, your site will be properly indexed by all the major search engines.  If you don't want to wait, we offer a number of very affordable solutions to accelerate this process.

Once you have visitors coming to your site, you  can track them to see what pages they visit most and what products they are purchasing so you can make educated decisions on how  to deliver higher quality information. For instance, if you are a specialty clothing store, you can send an email to all of your customers who purchased polo shirts in the last six months and let them know about a sale you are having on the new Spring line.

Q: How can I tell who visits my site?
A: Site Analysis functions include sales reports, lead tracking, content analyzing, and site traffic reports. A visitor registration field, “email a friend” option, and "newsletter sign-up" are standard on every iControl as an avenue for to gather customer emails and other information.
 
Q: How safe is my information with ILGM?
A: We currently meet the industry standards for information security and strictly enforce any/all security patches and alerts from our third-party software vendors. Your site is password protected (with a password that you create) so that only those who know your password can  administer your site.  Credit card transactions are protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software. Once a credit card has been accepted on an iControl site, the credit card information moves through our processing network to your merchant account processing network. These transactions are also encrypted to protect them from fraud.

Q: Will my site ever go "down"?
A: The Internet is very unpredictable and outages are unavoidable.  However, we maintain a Service Level Agreement that guarantees 99.9% uptime.  There will be short periods of scheduled "down" time when the servers will be undergoing updates and maintenance, and we make every effort to schedule these during non-peak hours.
